After successfully writing a poem a day in April for NaPoWriMo, without thinking it through, I committed to octpowrimo. October was not a good month for such an undertaking!

What follows is a series of poems written between the mid-1970s to the early 1980s (I wrote before and after this period, but I’ve yet to find those notebooks). There will be some “editor’s digression at work:” I’ll fix the really bad spelling errors, and weed out the really bad poetry. Or poems that might be too specific about person/persons, specific time, place, event. Nor will I unleash the full canon on you, lol.

It’s a bit of nostalgia while I write more contemporary poetry. I did have a “stash” of such, until it became a sodden mess of undecipherable, overnight-wine-soaked scraps of paper. I’ll try and a} not spill my wine and b} make sure I clean it ALL up if I do.

So, here’s to traveling in a poetic TARDIS machine.

I like first person narratives.
