cider and multigrain bread and extra old cheddar

fall comes with colours

feeling of loss

bright summer sun and

shining,

anticipation

the solstice

will herald a new

season of scruffling in

piles of orange and red

kicking up all the problems

then swirling all the sadness

tension madness disappointment

so sit on the porch swing

snap open the hard cider

cut a fair slice of bread

and cheese

and toast to the change of the

seasons

toast to apple harvest

and toast to you

lasting through to

another equinox

of change and rebirth
