small stones

small stones

During the craziness of NaPoWriMo, and the general malaise that has been May, I’ve not written a small stone since March. There have been small stone moments. Some captured. Some not. I will try and rebalance myself “to be fully engaged” with the world around me. To be “OPEN, OPEN, OPEN.”

Thank you, Becca, for introducing me to the concept of small stones.

A small stone is a short piece of writing (any style) that precisely captures a fully engaged moment for you. The process of discovering small stones is a as significant as the finished creation. Searching for small stones encourages you to keep your senses on the “alive and alert” status. Involve yourself with a new set of eyes, ears, nose mouth, fingers, feelings and mind. In short . . . OPEN, OPEN, OPEN!

I like first person narratives.
